| The
East German Broadcasting Station Brandenburg (ORB) is a public
radio broadcasting station that uses the integrated d’accord
system for many years and on many locations. It just recently
merged with the broadcasting station Sender Freies Berlin
(SFB) to become Radio Berlin Brandenburg (RBB).
The channel
Antenne Brandenburg is produced at the headquarters of the
former ORB in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Antenne Brandenburg
is produced and broadcast at the two large regional studios
in Frankfurt/Oder and Cottbus. With the addition of three smaller
locations in in Perleberg, Prenzlau and the State Parliament
in Potsdam, the entire state of Brandenburg is covered.
Besides
the channel Antenne Brandenburg, the following regional channels
are also partially broadcast in this region:
- Radio 1 – formerly a cooperative programme
with the SFB
- Radio 3 – a classical channel together
with the North German production NDR
- Fritz – the "Young
Channel" formerly together
with the SFB
- Inforadio – formerly produced in and
broadcast from Berlin at the SFB
The d'accord system version 3 relies on
a central database
in Babelsberg, where all descriptive data is kept for all
participating locations and channels. In addition, the complete
audio database
is stored here with accessibility to a robot system. In the
large regional studios, decentralized audio servers are used
to minimize the traffic of data transfer.
The d'accord-system
unites 400 users and 13 studios in total. In addition, the
integrated news system of d’accord NewsRoom
delivers press agency information for the tv programme "Aktuell
Redaktion".
